Count your Samsungs before choosing a player
IPTV Smarters is free. Smart IPTV is lighter and better on older hardware but charges a one-off activation per television, paid to its developer. One old set: pay it, the app is worth it there. Three sets: that is three fees, and Smarters starts looking considerably more sensible. Decide now rather than after the second one.
Find the store
Home, then Apps, with search in the top corner — the same place the set's existing apps came from. If there is no Apps entry at all, the television predates 2016 and nothing here will work; a stick in a spare HDMI socket is the answer, and honestly a better experience.
Install and open once
Whichever you chose. Open it immediately, because Smart IPTV needs you to read something off the screen before you go anywhere else, and Smarters will want its terms accepted before it does anything useful.
Connect it — two completely different procedures
Smarters: Login with Xtream Codes, then the three values. Smart IPTV: no login field exists at all. It shows a MAC address instead; note it, then open siptv.app/mylist on a phone and pair your M3U link with that address. People stall here every time, convinced the app is broken. It is not.
Close it properly and reopen
Returning to the home screen does not close an app on Tizen. Shut it down fully. Channels and guide arrive on the second launch, and skipping this produces an empty app and an entirely reasonable conclusion that something failed.
Check what this set does with 4K before judging the picture
Samsung televisions vary in how they handle a 4K stream arriving over wifi rather than from an app with Samsung's own tuning behind it. Play a 4K feed, then the HD copy of the same channel, and see whether the difference is what you expected. On a 2018 or older set the 4K feed sometimes looks worse than HD because the processor cannot keep up — which settles the question of which screens in your house should be on which feed.
Turn off Picture Clarity before you judge the picture
Samsung sets ship with motion smoothing enabled, which makes live sport look strange and has nothing to do with any provider. Switch it off, or down, in the picture settings. Do this before comparing against anything, or you will blame a service for a television setting.
Assign this set a quality and a favourites list
If the Samsung is the main television it takes the 4K feeds; if it is a bedroom set it takes HD, and the main screen thanks you for the bandwidth. Then hide the categories nobody in this room opens. A Samsung remote is poorly suited to scrolling thousands of entries and always will be.
Common errors and fixes
The store here does not carry either app
Samsung's catalogue varies by region — an ordinary commercial arrangement. Smarters is stocked in very nearly every market, so try that first. Changing the set's region also works. If neither does, ask support and we will name something that genuinely exists where you are.
Smart IPTV claims the playlist expired
It means the copy the app is holding, not your account, and the wording alarms everybody the first time. Re-send the M3U at siptv.app/mylist against the same MAC. Nothing has lapsed and nothing is owed.
Sound plays, screen stays black
A codec the decoder will not take. Switch the app to native or hardware decoding, or select the lower-bitrate copy of that channel — it exists beside most sports feeds precisely for this. If one channel does it and nothing else does, change that channel rather than the global setting.
A firmware update wiped it
Samsung updates occasionally clear application data and nothing prevents that. Smarters wants three values again, a minute's work. Smart IPTV wants the playlist re-sent to the same MAC. Neither costs anything, provided the credentials are somewhere other than a chat history.

Do I need a stick as well?
Not for this. Any Samsung from 2016 runs one of these players from its own store, so the television is the only device involved. A stick becomes worth adding for pre-2016 sets, or for a household that specifically wants TiViMate — which Samsung does not carry and will not.
What exactly does Smart IPTV charge for?
Seven free days, then a one-time activation for that specific television at siptv.app. The money goes to the app's developer, who has no connection to us. We cannot waive it, refund it or bundle it, and in a house with several sets it is charged per set.
Bedroom Samsung as well?
Same procedure, same credentials, and no limit on how many sets hold the app. With Smart IPTV you pay its activation again for that television. Either way your subscription is untouched — the tier caps simultaneous playback, not installations.
Is a 2015 model really hopeless?
For this, yes. The store on those sets either no longer exists or no longer carries the relevant apps, and Samsung stopped supporting them years ago. Thirty to fifty dollars of stick gives that television a better player than it ever shipped with.
Does this affect the set's own apps?
Not at all. The player is an ordinary Tizen application installed from the same store, with no access to anything else on the television. Your existing apps keep their logins, downloads and recommendations. The only shared resource is bandwidth — which is exactly why the feed-quality decision above matters more than it looks.
Will the set keep the login after it sleeps?
Yes. Tizen keeps the app's data through standby and through an ordinary restart, so it opens where you left it. What clears it is a firmware update or a factory reset, both of which mean re-entering three values in Smarters or re-uploading the playlist for Smart IPTV. Neither touches your subscription, which is why keeping those credentials somewhere other than a chat thread is worth two minutes now.
Can two people use one Samsung differently?
Only in the sense that whoever is holding the remote decides. Favourites and hidden categories belong to the television rather than to a person, so a set shared by a household ends up with a compromise list. Where two people want genuinely different arrangements, the cheap answer is a stick on a second input rather than a second subscription.
